Slow pace of development dominate DPDB meeting

Kiphire | April 5 : The issue of shortage of primary teachers in various primary schools in the district and slow pace development dominates the monthly meeting of the Kiphire DPDB which was held at the official chamber of the deputy commissioner  of Kiphire with head of department and advisory board KTC today.
Chairing the program the Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Kiphire C.M Tsanglao welcome the gathering and reviewed the meeting of the last month meeting minutes.
Exchanging views and opinion of the teachers issue in the district put forward by the Er Namang Supong Chang EAC Kiusum, the vice Chairman DPDB & DC felt the need to write to the department concern and to the government to take serious note of this.
Deputy commissioner also assured the DIS to go ahead of what the department feels good for the welfare of the student community in matters related to transfer and posting.
 He also asked the DIS to submit the position of teachers posted in the district and also asked to have a meeting with DEO, SIS so that measure should be taken for quality education.
On the issue of bridge over Zungki connecting Kiusum and Phelungre the vice vhairman and DC said: "Funds has been allocated last year. So why the bridge is not there and asked the department to clarify in the next meeting."
He also said: "This is serious and the matter, if anyone is found guilty on this, case may be registered or even vigilance may be invited to probe”.
The DIS shared the problem faced by department where people put pressure on transfer and posting, however, he assure that he is with full gear to see that justice is done to all the primary schools in the district.
Members present taking part in the discussion also felt that life of children are precious and politics should not interfere in their education.
On the issue of non availability of bridge between Phelungre and Kiusum over Zungki river the  DPO (Planning) said, he is fully aware that Department of Planning and CO-Ordiantion has sanction Rs 2 Crore for the same so non-available of bridge should not arise.
