SMC conducts workshop on ‘professional ethics & values’

Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): Institutional values and Best practices (IQAC) of Sakus Mission College (SMC), Dimapur, conducted one day workshop on ‘professional ethics and values’ for the office staff on August 14, with Atemla Anichari, a former Counselor at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) Dimapur, as the resource person. Two separate sessions were held for Clerical and for Support Staff.
SMC in a press release stated the resource person initiated an activity based workshop and encouraged the participants to have core belief in self, which is a driving force to motivate and to develop a firm conviction towards work, in the first session.
She also spoke on the importance and the requisite qualities to be possessed by each personnel in an Institution.
Anichari also highlighted on certain aspects related to professionalism, like adhering towards Integrity, Accountability, Diligence, Perseverance and Self-discipline.
She deliberated profoundly on certain steps to be followed in order to develop good work ethics, communication skills etc.
Limanaro, HoD Education and Convener of Institutional Values and best Practices (IQAC) chaired the first session. Welcome note was delivered by Dr Arenla Aier, Principal SMC.
The second session with the support staff was chaired by Mhonthung, HoD Sociology (IQAC member). The workshop which was a first of its kind in the institution for the non-teaching staff culminated with an enriching, productive session, the release added.
