‘Sümi Hoho's priority is to unite the society’

ZTSBC holds felicitation prog for Sümi Hoho

Zunheboto, July 25 (MExN): A felicitation and welcome programme for the newly elected officials of the Sümi Hoho was held at Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church, SBAK-Aizuto under the leadership of pastor Rev Dr Daniel Chishi Pastor on Sunday.

The programme, which was conducted following all COVID-19 SOPs, witnessed the presence of all the newly elected members and representatives, a press release informed.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary of the Sümi Hoho Dr Vihuto Assumi stated that a leader, who comes across thorns in the path and does not inform his followers of the same, is to be blamed if those behind him are hurt by the thorn. Likewise, he said there are a lot of ‘thorns’ in the society and that the Hoho would work towards removing such ‘thorns.’

President Nikheto Jimomi also spoke during the event and said that the Sümi Hoho's priority is to unite the society. Taking example of the current political scenario in the state, Jimomi stated that it is only when people start to come together and understand one another that peace can be restored in the state.

He further added that particularly for the Naga Political solution, the Sümi Hoho is working with all the 14 Tribal Hohos and said that all the 14 Tribal Hohos of Nagaland are united in their efforts to bring out a peaceful solution to the Naga political issue. Solution should be brought out with unity, he added.
Pastor of ZTSBC Rev Dr Daniel Chishi blessed the newly elected members with a special prayer and blessed the new team to walk forward and bring new and better changes in the society.
