Some words of concern on the NSEE issue

While pledging full support to the demands placed by All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU), I would like to share a word of concern with fellow citizens and parents.

Every year we have seen the steady increase in Naga students pursuing technical courses and other allied exams but there has not been an increase in quota allocation which in itself is an area of concern.

With all these at hand, the Category III of the eligibility notice which stated that a non-local candidate will be given the chance to appear for the NSEE exam has become a very absurd decision since the quota allocated for the indigenous Nagas is too meagre.

On this matter, ANCSU has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang on March 29, 2016 but so far there has been no response from the government’s side.

This utter silence on the issue clearly demonstrates that the present ruling government has absolutely no concern for the students’ community and dereliction of their duty has been once again been displayed.

Till now we have trusted the government but the negligence and sidelining of this important issue has testified that there are viruses in the system of governance.

Government should resolve the issue before the nearing exams or be ready to bear the responsibility if any untoward incident crops up.

We the parents of the intending student candidates of NSEE pledge our full support to ANCSU.

And by the way, where are you NSF and ENSF?
