Admission for BSc nursing from this academic year

With the upgradation of the School of Nursing (SoN) at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) to that of College of Nursing, admission process is expected to start from this year onward. S. Tiakala Longkumer, Principal, SoN, NHAK informed that SoN NHAK has been upgraded to College of Nursing and from this year onwards, it shall be admitting BSc nursing students. Longkumer revealed this while speaking at the SoN, NHAK’s convocation for 2021-2024 batch -cum- 22nd Lt Mrs Ketsovole Kire Award ceremony here today at NHAK Auditorium. She said that SoN, NHAK has already celebrated 75th years in 2024. SoN, NHAK was the first School of Nursing in Nagaland, which was established in 1949. During the last 75 years, SoN has expanded its programme from Junior Nursing to Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Longkumer said.
