Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has appealed to the NSCN-K to revoke the ‘Quit Notice’ served to the Tangkhul community for the sake of peace and unity among the Nagas and asked that all Naga communities be treated as equals.
“The stand of every Naga in regard to the Naga national cause is the same; we stand fro the right to self-determination of the Nagas but the unfortunate division among the Naga national workers creates perplexity in the minds of the public” stated the union through its President CD Pao and General Secretary V Ayo.
“It is therefore requested to all the Naga national workers (parties) not to treat one another as an anti-national/anti-Naga but to work in a more tolerant manner so that misconception and misunderstanding factors may be removed sooner than later and united for the common cause of the Nagas” the union appealed while calling to put stop to the fratricide since “sovereignty without people is meaningless.”
