Sovereignty cannot be achieved with factional fights, says ENSA

Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): Eastern Naga Students Association (ENSA) has appealed to both the NSCN to cease all kinds of offensive among the various Naga groups and strongly condemned the ongoing factional clash between “NSCN (K) and NSCN (IM)” in Eastern Nagaland.
“…many precious life was lost during ugly gun battle and many innocent villages were harassed and tortured by both the faction by ordering the villagers both to move out from their villages even for cultivation by knowingly peak season of sowing their seeds in the field,” lamented the president of ENSA Michael Kaita.
The note stated that ENSA believes that sovereignty cannot be achieved with factional fight but only though unity and reconciliation among the various faction and groups of Naga people can achieve the goal of the Naga people’s desire. But it is unfortunate on the part of the Naga National workers for displaying their bitterness within the Naga family especially in front of innocent Eastern Naga who are whole heartedly supporting the Nags cause from beginning of Naga National movement till today.
It also mentioned that at present the Eastern Nagas are suffering under the hands of Myanmar army for the sake of “our own brothers and sisters and how long it will continue in this way”. “Eastern Naga is already fed up of seeing the bloodshed and had been full of blood drop has been spread throughout the land of eastern Nagas. Therefore enough is enough shedding of blood in our land. Once upon a time, Naga National workers were regarded as one of the supreme organization and visionary movement but now they are just become a mere factional movement and has no more vision at all if they were to continue in this manner,” it said.
Expressing discontentment over the factional clash, it stated that Eastern Nagas are not happy with the “Naga family for playing games of double standard” by maintaining peace and reconciliation in Western Naga Area (India) and declared battled field in Eastern Nagaland (Burma) and Eastern Nagas are till confused whether the Forum for Naga Reconciliation is for Nagas or not, "if for all Nagas then why are they silent" and why many Naga NGOs had not come out their voice against this factional fight. “Are we not Naga?” It also went on saying that due to non coverage by media about the incidents the Naga National workers have been taking advantage of the situation by taking up extreme steps.
It added that they have been firing so many rocket launchers in the village vicinity. “…those weapons were regarded as poisonous gas which affects the human health and this gas will kill many villagers after few days and it will be responsibility of Naga National workers. Keeping in mind that on going Naga peace talk has already excluded the Eastern Nagaland which was officially declared by our Naga leader, therefore, it is no right to entered Eastern Nagaland before Naga solving the Western Naga problems, which has already made a resolution in various Naga political meet to solve first in western Nagaland (India). "
Meanwhile, ENSA has appealed to all the Nagas irrespective of "caste and clan for financial help and medicines" for the displaced villagers,” it stated.
