Sovima, February 7 (MExN): The sixth edition of Spar Wars, a grassroots mixed martial arts (MMA) event for amateur fighters, began on February 7 at Ground Zero, The Combat Academy in Sovima, Chumukedima.
The opening day featured seven intense bouts with fighters from across the Northeast, including Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland, showcasing their skills and determination.
The tournament will continue on February 8, with 10 more bouts, including the finals of the strawweight, flyweight, and bantamweight divisions. The semifinal rounds for these categories were held on the first day, setting the stage for high-stakes matchups in the concluding rounds.
Entry gates for the second day open at 4:00 PM, promising another evening of fights as competitors battle for championship titles.
