Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Lieutenant General HS Sahi, AVSM, YSM, SM, GOC, Spear Corps visited the Red Shield Division in Manipur on August 29 and reviewed the operational readiness of the Division, presently committed in the ongoing Internal Security situation in Manipur. He was briefed on the ground situation and operations being undertaken by the formation.
PRO (Defence), Kohima & Imphal in a press release stated that during the visit, GOC interacted with troops and commended their unwavering dedication towards pursuance of laid down operational task.
The Corps Commander also emphasised upon the importance of the role of the formation towards ensuring National Security and appreciated the dedicated efforts and steadfast commitment of all ranks of the Division in bringing stability in the strife-torn state, thus reaffirming its pivotal role in fostering lasting peace.
