Special drive to be launched to settle pending pension cases

Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The State Government, in collaboration with the Accountant General Nagaland has decided to launch a special drive to settle/finalise pending pension cases.
A press note issued by Commissioner & Secretary to Government of Nagaland, Amardeep S Bhatia stated that the departments of Police, Health & Family Welfare, School Education, Power, Roads & Bridges, Housing and Mechanical have been selected initially for this special drive. During this drive, the departments will make special arrangements to prepare and process pension papers in a mission mode in all their respective divisions/units. Thereafter, the prepared pension papers will be scrutinized and collected by officers of the Accountant General as per the schedule.
The note stated that retired government employees who are yet to initiate their pension papers are, therefore, requested to immediately approach their respective departments’ division/unit from where they have retired so that the departments are well prepared to take up their cases when the scrutiny as per the schedule above is held. All other departments will take similar steps to expedite settlement of pension of employees from their department.
