A Special Gram Sabha meeting of Old Riphyim Village was held at Wokha Village Council Hall on December 13, dedicating to prepare the GPDP for the year 2024-25,
The key participants of the meeting included, the Nodal Officer for GPDP in Wokha Block, Tushimanen Jamir Aruna Markose, Young Fellow (YF) from the National Institute of Rural Development in Hyderabad, Anuranjan Singh overseeing Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Shishoi Oshom- Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF)-Cell Wokha, along with representatives from the Department of NSRLM who actively took part and contributed during the meeting by highlighting various schemes and offerings of their departments, including conducting awareness programs on schemes like PM Vishwakarma.
During the meeting, the Village Organizations (VO) and Self Help Groups presented on poverty-related issues and proposed poverty reduction plans to the Gram Sabha, engaging in discussions on the development gaps within the villages.
Following extensive deliberations and the identification of gaps, the Sabha prioritized and approved the activities to be undertaken under GPDP for the year 2024-25.
