Special Observer holds meeting in Tsg

Tuensang, November 2 (DIPR): District consultative meeting in connection with the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll was held on October 30 at DC's conference hall, Tuensang with Special Observer Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS, Secretary to the government of Nagaland, Land Resources department.  

The Observer informed members about the EP ratio and highlighted that Tuensang is one of the best districts among Nagaland with regard to EP ratio. He also sought cooperation from the members regarding ongoing process of revision and impressed upon the need to enroll all eligible young electors who have/will attain the age of 18 years as on January 1, 2018 and remove all the dead voters/ shifted/ multiple entries from the current e-rolls. He also impressed upon the need for clean electoral roll and its impact on fair elections.  

The meeting was attended by political parties/ NGOs/ government officials/ DBs and GBs of Tuensang HQ. The special observer also inspected the polling station with high electoral EP ratio.
