Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Gethemgo Sports International from Kohima initiated leadership training programme on ‘Sports in Disasters and Trauma’ in Kangpokpi, Manipur on August 29 and 30.
The Director of Gethemgo, Dr Viposa said, this initiative aimed to provide support to pastors and Church leaders who were affected by the ongoing conflict. The training was designed to create a safe and constructive space for these leaders to address their trauma and tensions. Through experiential activities, the programme focused on equipping them with practical tools to manage challenging situations, stated a press release.
Altogether 52 pastors participated in the training, reflecting the significance of the initiative. As a meaningful gesture of peace, J316 Balls were presented to all the pastors, symbolizing Christ's message of unity.
“The impact of the programme was evident as participants shared their joy, expressing how the training brought smiles back to their faces after months of turmoil. The success of the initiative was made possible by the generous support of individuals, families, and churches who extended their prayers and financial assistance,” it stated.
