Suruhoto, September 13 (MExN):  Many institutions are smoothly implementing the the NECTAR (Nagaland Education Project), however, some have failed to qualify for the second instalment, Suruhuto Range Students Union (SRSU) has stated, condemning the discrepancy.

This was among the critical areas for improvement observed during the union’s four-day School/Education tour conducted from September September 7-11, informed a press release from the SRSU.

Another glaring issue  encountered during the tour was the lack of teachers in many institutions.

Accordingly, the SRSU appealed all concerned local authorities and village representatives to address this matter urgently.
Ensuring the provision of quality education in government institutes is paramount, it said.

The union further called upon concerned authorities, organisations such as NGOs, SMC, teacher In-charge, and others to actively contribute to the growth of education, nurturing the responsible and capable leaders of tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the SRSU noted that during its educational tour across the Suruhuto Area, some remarkable results were yielded and it further lauded the commendable performance of government schools and the dedicated authorities overseeing these institutions .

It further noted that the SRSU is committed to recognising excellence in education by honouring the three best teachers and best-performing institutions during its upcoming biennial conference slated to held in January 2024 in Phuye New Village.

These accolades will be distributed across Government Primary Schools (GPS), Government Middle Schools (GMS), and Government High Schools (GHS) to promote and ensure the delivery of quality education, it added.
