The flagging off of the Inter-House X-Country Championship of Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) on October 29.
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) organized an Inter-House X-Country Championship on October 29, with the participation of 403 cadets representing the ten houses in different categories.
The senior cadets from Classes X and XI competed in a 7-kilometer category, while the junior cadets from Classes VIII and IX covered a distance of 5 km. For Classes VI and VII, the distance was 3 km.
Cadet Yazei Konyak of Tizu House emerged as the winner in the senior category, clocking 27.56 minutes, while Cadet Resomong L and Cadet Reguilungbe secured the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
Cadet Thamphong Konyak of Pauna House claimed 1st position, finishing in 20.35 minutes, with Cadet Vicky Kumar and Cadet M. Honlem Konyak finishing in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Cadet Lumrola Lumro and Cadet Tannu Singh secured 1st positions in the girls’ category for the 5 km and 3 km runs, respectively.
Meanwhile, Japfu House emerged victorious in the senior category, while Patkai House won the junior category, consecutively for the third time.
