Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The XXI Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School Punglwa Nagaland (SSPN) was held on July 16. A press release issued by the SSPN stated that the meeting was presided over by Major General, Pankaj Kaushik, COS 3 Corps and LBA Chairman. During the meeting, the board members discussed and elaborated on major aspects pertaining to development of the school and academic standpoint.
Before the commencement of the meeting, the Chairman was briefed about the school by the Principal, Gp Capt Prasun Basu. During the meeting, the Chairman stressed upon the need to improve the academic performance of the school. He urged upon the staff to put in their best to get the desired result. Apart from this he also dwelt upon the safety of cadets while using the swimming pool, the requirement of waste management and the preparedness to admit girl cadets in the school, the release added.
The release also stated that post meeting, the LBA Chairman inaugurated the parade ground and visited ongoing construction site and later interacted with the cadets of class 12.
Later, guest lunch was organised in honour of him. The General Officer while addressing the cadets expressed his gratefulness to be amongst the young and energetic cadets. He stated that the school despite its young vintage is doing well in academics and sanguine that cadets become great personalities in a high place in different walks of life. He was impressed to see the positivity among all the cadets. With the good infrastructure development of the school, the General Officer said that the future looks bright for the cadets. He further advised the cadets to make a goal or aim and pursue studies assiduously and above all to develop a good character.
