DIMAPUR, APRIL 18 (MExN): The Sand Stockist & Suppliers Union Dimapur (SSSUD) has imposed total ban on transport of sand from Manja route as per the resolve of a meeting held on Monday. SSSUD president, Viniho Shohe and general secretary, Nito Sumi in a press note said the ban has been imposed because of failure of the closing down of sand syndicate at Manja. Stating that on April 14, the SSSUD had served a 4-day ultimatum to withdraw the syndicate at Majna on or before April 17, 2016, the Union said the ban on sand from Manja route will continue till the Karbi Anglong Chamber of Commerce (KACC) and Sand Mohaldar and Supplier Association fulfill their demands, it added.
