St. Anthony High School gets new admin block

Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): The new administrative block of St. Anthony High School, Tenyiphe was blessed by Bishop James Thoppil and inaugurated by Dr. John Murry, Treasurer, NDPP Nagaland, on February 5 in the presence of parents, well-wishers and students.


A press release stated here that speaking on the occasion Bishop James recollected his association with St. Anthony School way back in 1990. He congratulated and thanked the staff and management for the best effort put in to give the best education. He acknowledged the dedication of the priests, sisters and the parents for working for the welfare of the students. He emphasised “on the Catholic education as to make what you are. That is to give light and joy to the community by living the values of the Gospel.” He asked, “What are we making or living out of our life.”


Dr. John Murry, Treasurer, NDPP Nagaland, addressing the gathering congratulated the staff and the management. He reiterated the 100 percentage matriculation for the seven consecutive years are the tremendous success of the school. He acknowledged the village administration for the good governance and for the constant support for the school. He wished a bright future to St. Anthony School. He appreciated the talents showcase during the programme. He recalled the contributions of the Catholic Church in the field of Education.


He said that through education, the Church modifies the creation of God by becoming an instrument. He also acknowledged the blessing of being a Catholic school pass pupil. He called upon the assembly to thank and love the Catholic Church for the manifold blessings in the society. He encouraged the Students to be part of the success story of the School. He exhorted the Students to make use of the opportunities provided in by the Church and the School. He also called upon the elders to be a giving member with a change from expectation to contributors.


The basketball court was inaugurated by the special guest and Bishop James. Earlier Fr. Dominic Kwettrangging, the Vice Principal of St. Anthony High School accorded the words of welcome. Songs and dances were staged during the programme. Sr. Genevieve, the Headmistress proposed the words of gratitude.
