St. Anthony’s School Zbto gets new building

Zunheboto, April 14 (MExN): The long awaited dream of the Catholic Community of Zunheboto was realized when Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima blessed St. Anthony’s School new building on April 14. Prior to the blessing, Paul Hoshiho, a public leader and a pioneer leader of the community, cut the ribbon and inaugurated new school building.   Bishop, speaking on the occasion said, “The Catholic Church gives all out effort to provide the best Education at the door step of our people at the lowest cost. The Church is here to serve with full and dedicated commitment. The Church is rich not because it has money and wealth, but because of the sacrifices and dedication the priests and religious.” He also expressed his hope that St. Anthony’s School will rise and shine and provide a good education for the people of this area.

  Rev. George Parackal, the parish priest and principal accorded the words of welcome to Bishop, fathers, sisters and parents and invited guests. He thanked diocese of Kohima for the generous help rendered to the people of Zunheboto.   The gathering was blessed by the presence of Rev. Sr. Dina, the councilor superior, Sr. Jancy, the provincial superior, the Fathers and Sisters from the nearby parishes and centers. Welcome Song, Hip-hop dance, Traditional song, chorography, couple dance and action songs were the special items presented by the students of St. Anthony’s School, Zunheboto. Nizheto Mathew spoke on behalf of the community and Sr. Bency proposed the vote of thanks. John, the Catechist said the concluding prayer.
