Kohima, August 7 (MExN): The department of Science & Technology has started a production unit for producing quality based, cost effective, hygienic and easily decomposable sanitary napkins and disposable diapers in large scale.
The unit which is located at New capital complex below main secretariat has formally started the production on March 21 this year.
The department has launch awareness campaigns along with the free distribution of the product in the rural areas where there is less/total negligence for health care is the main objective. The successful implementation of the programme will control the spread of vulnerable diseases and maintain a clean environment in the state.
Stating this in a released today, Senior Technical Officer & the Project Incharge Telaknaro Imchen informed that NGOs can avail the same through her or contact 9436000635 if the product is applicable for the organization.
