KOHIMA, APRIL 2 (MExN): St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Kidima under the Diocese of Kohima celebrated Palm Sunday with the rest of the world with Father Siby John, Parish Priest on April 2 in the Church premises.
Fr Siby John said that the Holy Week begins from Palm Sunday till Easter Sunday. The Parish Priest asked the faithful go do confession in the Holy Week and celebrate in a sanctified manner. All the events of the Church are sacred that the faithful should not miss, he added.
The word of the Lord passion, Eucharist celebration and blessings to Palm leaf were the highlights of the daylong programme. The weather did suit for the procession with the Palm leaf. Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) along with communities from neighbouring villages joined the liturgical feast.
