Tuensang, July 22 (MExN): The St John’s Higher Secondary School, Tuensang organised a felicitation ceremony on July 22 to “acknowledge and applaud the achievers” in the recently declared High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination results.
Two toppers from the schools - Thronglila Rengma (11th Rank) andand Hanglenchila Y Chang (13th Rank) and Mathematics Toppers Natiyemla T Chang, Thsidila Sangtam and Thronglila Rengma were feted during the ceremony.
It was attended among others by Special Guests, Brig Sandip Chatterjee, DIG 7 Sector AR, Tuensang and Amit Nigam, Superintendent of Police, Tuensang, the proud parents of achievers and teachers, a press release from the school informed.
Chatterjee, in his speech, congratulated the students and encouraged them to develop their unique identity, confidence and serve humanity, it said. He also felicitated the rank holders with certificates and cash awards.
Nigam also exhorted the students with his motivational speech, lauding their achievements and felicitated the subject toppers with certificates and cash awards.
The event ended with vote of thanks by Hanglenchila Y Chang, who expressed her gratitude for the achievements towards parents, teachers and the institution, the release added.
