Dimapur, May 6 (MExN): ‘Temsurenla Academic Excellence Grant’ was held at St John Hr Secondary Residential School on May 6. The programme was held at ‘Temsurenla Auditorium’ and attended by Student Achievers (Toppers), parents of student achievers, teachers, school principal and management of the School.
Snighdha Mukherjee, first rank achiever in NBSE HSSLC Science Stream Examination received a cash award of Rupees one lakh fifty thousand while Benthungo Ovung, 5th rank NBSE HSSLC Science Stream and Lumzila I Sangtam, 8th Rank, NBSE HSSLC Science Stream received cash award of Rupees fifty thousand each. Awantika Kumari, 9th Rank NBSE HSSLC Science Stream and Ankita Saha 14th Rank in NBSE HSLC Examination received School Cash Award of Rupees ten thousand each.
A press release received here stated that during 2025 Admission to Class 11 in the School, as many as six students have been awarded free admission concession and six students have been awarded fifty percent admission concession.
Setuomenuo Ao, Director of the School, in her address said, “It is undeniable that the teaching and non-teaching staffs have contributed tremendously to the achievements of the students; it is also without exaggeration to say that the students have worked really hard to achieve their dreams. It is even more undeniable that God’s favour continues to rest upon St John – it is abundant, over flowing and accessible in our midst.” Snighdha Mukherjee, in her speech thanked all teachers for being ready to clear her doubts whenever requested.
The grant was instituted by the School Management to celebrate the legacy of Late Temsurenla, former Director of St John Hr Secondary Residential School. The Grant primarily aims at awarding toppers at HSLC and HSSLC from St. John Hr Secondary Residential School. The grant includes Rs 1,50,000.00 for First Rank Achiever in HSSLC Arts Stream, HSSLC Science Stream respectively and Rupees 1,00,000.00 for First Rank achiever in HSLC examination. rupees 50,000.00 for two toppers between Second and Tenth Rank Achievers in HSSLC Arts Stream and HSSLC Science Stream respectively and Rupees 50, 000.00 for two top ten rank achievers between Second and Tenth Ranks. The grant also includes free admission in Class 11 and 12 (Arts and Science Stream) for Top Ten Rank achievers in HSLC Examination.
