St Joseph Global School annual sports day

Winners of the DMI St Joseph Global School sports day with dignitaries. 

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 20 (MExN): DMI St. Joseph Global School celebrated its annual sports day on October 18, inviting A. Rahman, Joint Secretary of Nagaland Cricket Association as the chief guest.

Fr. Stepheen Chazhisseril, Principal of Don Bosca Hr. Sec. School was the guest of honour and J Robert Edwin Chester, Registrar of St. Joseph University was the special invitee along with DMI Sisters and MMI Fathers who also graced the occasion.

The athletic events started with senior boys followed by senior girls.  As it was a house-wise competition, each house namely Blue, Green, Red and Yellow fought a tough battle in athletics and finally Yellow House bagged the overall rolling trophy. The individual championship for the boys was bagged by Atobo of Class VI and Pushically of Class VIII for girls. 

The chief guest in his address exhorted the students to aspire to become a sports person, be it athletics, cricket, basketball or football. He said that sports will build confidence and give them strength to face challenges in life.
