St. Joseph’s College Jakhama annual college week begins

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama began its annual college week scheduled to be held from November 12-17 with an inaugural function. 

The program started with an invocation by Rev. Sr. Dr. Ranit, vice principal, academic affairs and words of welcome by Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Oussepparampil, Principal, SJAC who insisted on placing “compassion above completion”.

 
Colonel H.K. Gopinath serving as the administrative member of the Jakhama Military Station graced the inaugural function as the guest speaker. He spoke on the importance of games and sports as a training ground for discipline, team spirit and physical and mental well-being. “These is no loser, failure gives opportunity to do better”, said Gopinath, encouraging the students to have faith in themselves. 

A special number was then presented by Inaka V. Assumi, oath taking was administered by Longvau Buchem, Games and Sports Secretary, SJAC which was followed by vote of thanks and declaration of the event.
