DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): The St Thomas Mission Society distributed food kits with essential items to families affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in and around Dimapur. 


Mission society members, while following precautionary measures, distributed food kits to the students’ families and needy families near in Midland, Sachu colony, Landmark, Rio colony, Lingrijan and Dhobinala.


Mission society secretary, Fr Dr PS Varghese, expressed gratitude to all the sponsors, teachers of MGMHSS and MGOS Church members for taking initiative to identify and distribute food kits.


This is the 6th phase of mission society's 'Food for Security’ COVID-19 relief program. In this phase, the drive reached out to 80 beneficiaries.


So far, the STMS has distributed 535 food kits.
