The 22nd edition of NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy 2022 under the aegis of Angami Students’ Union (ASU) will commence from October 7 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Head Hunters will face Tholevi FC in the inaugural match on October 7 at 4: 30 PM.
Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Leader of NPF Legislature Party & Co-Chairman UDA, Government of Nagaland will grace the inaugural function.
ASU Tribunal, Vizokho Zashümo will chair the inaugural function. ASU President, Bisevi Nakhro will deliver welcome while organizing committee convenor Zekuseto Natso will deliver keynote address.
ASU Secretary for Games & Sports, Thejalhoukho Thomas Khawakhrie will administer oath to the participants.
35 teams from Nagaland, Manipur and Meghalaya have confirmed their participation in this 22nd edition, which will continue till October 29.
There will be free entry for spectators for the inaugural match.
Meanwhile, the Organising Committee today informed that from the first round till the Pre-Quarter final stage, the duration of the matches shall be 90 minutes only, (45+45) play with 10 minutes lemon break.
In case of a tie, the match will be decided through the rule of tie-breaker, it informed.
