Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The stage is all set for golden jubilee celebration of the Angami Public Organization (APO) at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground) on April 8 from 10:30 am onwards.
The celebration will be held under the theme “Angamimia Therhu (Sense of honour among the Angamis).” APO is expecting around 15,000 delegates from four regions of Angamis (Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO), Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) and Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO).
Apart from APO and Golden Jubilee flag, the celebration will also witness hoisting of 104 Angami villages flag.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will hoist Golden Jubilee flag and APO flag by APO president Razouvotuo Chatsu. Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) Executive Director, Rev Dr V Atsi Dolie will invoke God’s blessing while APO golden jubilee organizing committee convenor K Neibou Sekhose will deliver welcome address. NAPO President, Zeneituo Yano will speak on behalf of four Angamis regions organizations. APO 1st President Zapuvisie Lhousa will also share greetings. Vote of thanks will be proposed by APO Treasurer KT Vilie.
Among others, the celebration will be marked by honouring APO former presidents, special numbers/folk song from various troupes and Angami singers, folk dance, tug of war, unity dance, jubilee feast and wind up with special performance by renowned singer Methaneilie Jiitakhrie.
