Stage set for inaugural programme of LXV KVSA meet 2022 at Khuochiezie, Kohima.

The stage is all set for a weeklong LXV (65th) Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet 2022, starting from January 17.
With Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) as host, the meet will take place in three locations- Khuochiezie, Indira Gandhi Stadium- Riileizou and Kohima Indoor Stadium- Thephegei.
The inaugural programme will held at Khuochiezie, Kohima from 10:15 AM onwards with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the special guest.
Prelude at Thevokemouzie have been scheduled at 10:00 AM and contingents march- in at 10:15 AM.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will hoist KVSA flag at 11: 20 AM.
Greetings will be shared by Kohima Village Council chairman Helievio Solo while traditional blessings will be pronounced by Medo Keretsii, Head GB Kohima village.
KVYO president Ruokuoneituo Phewhuo will also deliver a speech.
The mascot for LXV KVSA Meet, 2022 is a rooster named as ‘Vi Lope.’
The weeklong meet will be marked by volleyball, basketball, football, Naga wrestling, Cross Country race, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis and athletics.
Meanwhile, LXV KVSA Meet 2022 core committee informed that COVID- 19 SOPs issued by the state government, will be strictly followed during the meet.
The meet will continue till January 22.
