Introduction:  State Bank of India is the Lead bank in the State of Nagaland. Dimapur Module/Region is one of the Modules/Regions in North Eastern Circle.
 Number of Office/Branches : There are 50 Numbers of Branches spreading across all 11 Districts. All the Branches are connected by Core banking System(CBS) and the Customer of one Branch in Nagaland is the Customer of all 14000 Branches of SBI in India and abroad.
Extended Branches/Offices:
1) For Public Convenient Banking, State bank has 45 ATMs installed all over Nagaland. Out of 11 District Hqs, 7 already have ATM(s) and other 4 will be covered very soon.
2) For Financial Inclusion, State Bank has already appointed 14 Business Facilitators. There is a plan of making all Village Development Boards/Village Councils Business Correspondents covering banking facility for all the population in rural areas of Nagaland. Bank has also engaged on outsourced agency for engaging and training up BCs for covering about 146 Villages. Bank has opened 40,000 accounts during this Financial Year(FY) covering large number of Students and Farmers. Bank has also sponsored 75 Nos. of Farmers’ Clubs during this FY, of which about 50 clubs have been aided by NABARD.
3) Technological Banking: State Bank Customers has the freedom to bank anytime, anywhere through Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and ATM/Debit Card facilities. You can draw Cash from any ATM without charge. Other banks’ Customer can use our ATMs without charge from the customer. By availing Mobile Banking Facility of SBI, you can do balance enquiry, transfer fund, topup recharge, demat account operation, bill payment, request for Cheque Book, block ATM Card in case of loss of ATM Card,etc.-This anytime, anywhere banking. By availing Internet banking Facility, customers can transfer fund from account, balance enquiry, pay bills, sit at home and open your own Fixed deposit account, etc.-PC/Laptop with Internet Connection required for availing this facility. Bank may be roped in by Government of Nagaland for collection of Utility Bills.
4) Instant money transfer through RTGS(Real Time Gross Settlement),NEFT instead of Demand Draft, Cheque, TT,etc. Core Power and Multi-City Cheque will help the customers to encash anywhere in India without any extra charges.
5) SBI Credit Card for convenient shopping, booking air/train tickets, hotels, etc.
6) Financial Planning and Wealth Management Services: State Bank provides better opportunity for the people to invest in profitable business to increase their income and earnings with life security for the family and Income Tax Exemption from the earnings through SBI Life Policies and SBI Mutual Funds. Financial Planning team members are regularly visiting Nagaland, meeting the members of affluent section of population to guide them towards better investment option.
Community Services
Baking:
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, SBI has been active in recognizing the need of Charitable Institution engaged in managing Orphanage, Old Age Home. Every year the Bank earmarks 1% of its profits for contributing to activities under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Under this:
1) 111 Nos. of Girl Children adopted by State Bank of India in Nagaland incurring an average expenditure of Rs.6.5 lacs per annum.
2) Every Year State Bank donates Vehicle to charitable Organizations/Institutes/Societies incurring an average expenditure of Rs.3 lakhs. Some of the beneficiaries are Kohima Orphanage Home, People in Need Foundation Dimapur, Kohima Old Age Home, Wongdang-Ki Orphanage Home Dimapur, etc.,
3) Donation to different organisations/institutes/societies/ in the form of materials like Computers, Furnitures&Fixtures as well as financial help for social and economic development of the society and to help promotion of local talent in Nagaland. Any Group/Society/Institute/Organisation doing something good for the people, especially the downtrodden, State Bank always step in to extend helping hand.
 Business Peformance :
1) Credit Deposit(CD) Ratio of State Bank in Nagaland stands at 42% vis-à-vis 33% of all Banks in Nagaland. However, whole State CD Ratio is not truly reflective of the Bank’s performance in various district and backward area of the State. The distribution of CD Ratio as given in the under noted table would enable a better appreciation.

This apart, Bank has been writing off large amount of Bad loans every year, which would otherwise have pulled up whole State Ratio over 55% to 60%.
1) In order to expedite processing of Loan proposals with better expertise Bank has set up a CPC in Dimapur which is processing loan proposal of all 50 branch in Nagaland. The Centre has processed loan proposal of Rs 33.98 crores during the last 7 months.
2) Bank has set up Cell dedicated to High Networth Individual (HNI at Kohima, Kohima Bazar and Lerie branch for providing personalized services to HNI customer. Bank is planning to set up an HNI branch in Dimapur shortly.
3) Loan given to the people of Nagaland stands at Rs. 935.22Crore against deposit of Rs. 2233.18 Crores.
4) State Bank has the record of handling major chunk of Government Sponsored Schemes like PMRY, SGSY, PMEGP, CM Corpus Fund, etc.
 Recovery Agent: There are 6 Nos. of Recovery Agents to recover bank’s bad debts all over Nagaland.
Others:  State Bank is always part of development and progress for the people of Nagaland. We provide ATM for quick cash facility, Small Note & Coins Exchange facility, Foreign Currency Exchange facility, Information Centre about banking, etc., at Kisama Naga Heritage Village during the Hornbill Festivals from 1st - 7th Decemebr every year, incurring an average expenditure of Rs.2-3 lacs for the convenient and easy public/tourists access. Indirectly we are involved in promotion of tourism in the state. Above similar facilities are made available during the ongoing North-East Region Agri Expo 2010 from 15th-19th December’2010 at Agri Complex, 4th Mile Dimapur, Nagaland.
