Entrepreneurs workshop today

DIMAPUR, MARCH 3 (MExN): 
Workshop on Linking Small Time Entrepreneurs with Government Schemes & Markets will be held today at 10.00 a.m. at NRC on Mithun, Jharnapani, Medziphema. Dr. Chumben Murry, Minister Ministry of Agriculture will be the chief guest while Dr. K. C. Nihoshe, Parliamentary Secretary, Industry & Commerce will be the guest honour. Other Speakers will include: Dr. Chandan Rajkhowas, Director, National Research Centre on Mithun, Neichute Doulo, CEO, Entrepreneurs Associates, Nagaland, Dr. O. S. Tyagi, Director ASOCHAM and others.

Prayer request for GCKA programme

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
Faith Kids Fellowship, Great Commission Kids Academy ‘spiritual renewal programme’ will be held on arch 5 and 6 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Faith Hall, GCKA. A press note issued by the academy has requested for prayers of all parents, family, friends and well wishers for the programme. The resource persons will be from ‘Jesus Seeks Ministry.’

Beef rate enhanced

DIMAPUR, MARCH 3 (MExN):
The Dimapur Municipal Council has enhanced the rate of beef to Rs 90 per Kg. The decision was taken in reference to the joint representation submitted by the butchers for review of rate from the existing rate of beef. In addition, head, hoofs, intestines etc will be Rs 70 per Kg, informed the chief executive officer of DMC Nikhashe Sema in a press note. He also stated in the note that he prescribed rate id the maximum amount fixed by the DMC which is to be strictly followed by the butchers and they are also directed to hang their measuring scale in the proper place as directed to avoid further complication. No increase of price shall be allowed without substituted by genuine documents. Failing to abide with the mentioned terms and conditions, the chief executive officer of DMC will be bound to take action by imposing heavy penalty and that the order will be enforce with immediate effect.

DMC informs on Census

DIMAPUR, MARCH 3 (MExN):
The Dimapur Municipal Council has informed in a press note to the residents under its jurisdiction that the enumeration of 2011 census has already been completed on February 28 and the revision round is going on from March 1 to 5. In this connection, any individual or household left out during enumeration are directed to report to the census cell at NIC Room, DC office, Dimapur on or before March 5.

Lottery draw date postponed

DIMAPUR, MARCH 3 (MExN):
The draw date of Lottery in Aid of New Church Building, Nagionimora, is being extended to March 25 instead of March 5 as printed in the ticket, due to some unavoidable circumstances, informed a press note received here today issued by Ameth Konyak, convenor.

RSU union assembly

Kohima, March 3 (MExN):
All the senior students of Razeba Students’ Union (RSU) have been informed that there will e a union assembly cum election on March 5 at Conclave Conference Hall, LCS Building, Midland, Kohima at 12:00 noon. Dr. Imtimeren now H&FW’s principal dir

Kohima, March 3 (MExN):
Dr. R. Imtimeren Jamir has been promoted and took over as principal director of the department of Health & Family welfare, Nagaland. A farewell programme for Dr. T.L. Nakhro outgoing principal director of health & family welfare along with Dr. Kiyekhu Assumi, additional director and Dr. T, Shuya, additional director was held at the directorate conference hall on February 28 last who retired from service on attaining superannuation w.e.f Ist March 2011. Minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu and host of officers from the directorate as well as from the different districts attended the farewell programme.

DRFCB elects office bearers

DIMAPUR, MARCH 3 (MExN):
The Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) held its general meeting on February 5 last and elected office bearers. A press note informed that the Board has elected Hokheto Kiba-Chairman, Edento Kiba-Vice Chairman, Mukibur Rahman-Secretary, H. Samuel Assumi-Joint Secretary, J. P Jaiswal-Treasurer, Puneswar Mech-Info & Publicity Secretary and Mishak Chishi-Photographer and Recorder, 4 executive members and 4 advisors for the tenure of 2011-2016.  

Medical assessment camp for CWSN

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
The District Mission Authority DMA SSA Dimapur will be conducting medical assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) for five blocks in the age group of 6-14. This was informed in a press note issued by DEO Dimapur Asono Ndang.
 
Farmers visit West Bengal

Kohima, March 3 (MExN):
A group of progressive farmers comprising of 15 members headed by Sazolie Angami, AMO and secretary APMC Mon has visited Baidyabati Ice and Cold Storage in West Bangal from February 21 to 28 in collaboration with the West Bengal State Agricultural Marketing Board. Raj Kumar Kundu and Abhyudoya Basu, director and manager respectively explained the team in details on the refrigeration system of cold storage for preservation of potatoes and also as to how to handle the potatoes for preservation. Besides, the team led by technical guide Kantakarmakar of Sheoraphuli Regulated Market Committee Kolkata has visited several units of the market establishments like Egg Hatchery unit, jute processing unit, fruit and vegetable market both wholesale and
retail section.

Humane Touch meet held

The Humane Touch held a consultative meeting at Tsuremmen Village under Mokokchung District with Village Council members and elders of Lirmen, Tsuremen and Akomen on February 26on the theme “Biodiversity Conservation.” This was informed in a press note issued by Humane Touch, Secretary.

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): In the interest of public service, the Governor of Nagaland has issued the transfer and posting order of IAS and NCS officers with immediate effect.
 CJ Ponraj IAS, Principal Secretary, Justice & Law shall hold additional charge of Land Revenue Department vice Meilemla Pongener. Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Horticulture and Geology & Mining shall hold additional charge of Excise Department vice KN Ngullie, NCS, retired. Meilemla Pongener, IAS, Secretary, Land Revenue and Home, is relieved of the charge of Land revenue Department. She shall hold additional charge of Relief & Rehabilitation and Disaster Management relieving Shashank Shekhar, IAS. BP Chetri, NCS, Secretary, Horticulture is transferred and posted as secretary, co-operation vice Visutha Angmai, NCS, retired.
