Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): The state’s Janata Dal (United) is no more. The national president of the JD (U) Sharad Yadav has dissolved the Nagaland JD (U) unit with immediate effect. A note from the general secretary of the party Arun Kumar Srivastava today said “this extreme step” was taken “because state unit headed by Shri. S Limatemjen has been given sufficient time to complete the membership as well as the organization election.” He however failed to comply even when the ‘central election office had extended the final date’. The party has appointed Mhonjan Lotha as convener and has been assigned to complete the membership drive as well as organize elections within July 15.
