State level painting competition on energy conservation held

The state level painting competition on energy conservation as part of National Campaign on Energy Conservation 2023 of Ministry of Power, Government of India was held at East Gate Hotel, Kohima on November 18.

It was organised by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited, Doyang Hydro Power Station in association with Department of School Education, Nagaland, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India, Ministry of Power and Directorate of Electrical Inspectorate, Nagaland State Designated Agency.

In Group A category, Anushka Paul from St Mary’s Higher Secondary School Dimapur bagged the first position while Debosmita Sarkar from Chitrakala School of Fine Arts Dimapur and Sreshtha Sarkar from Holy Cross Higher Secondary School Dimapur stood second and third position respectively.

Ayushi Bhowal from Livingstone Foundation International School, Dimapur bagged first position in Group B category. Zaara Abdul from Hope Academy Dimapur and Jhalak Khemani from Holy Cross Higher Secondary School Dimapur stood 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Dr Temjemwabang Longkumer, Principal, Kohima Science College, Jotsoma graced the occasion as the special guest. He urged the students to become ambassador of sustainable living and serve this plant Earth.

John Zeliang, HoPS, Doyang Hydro Power Station and others also spoke on the occasion.
