Kohima, May 30 (MExN): A coordination meeting of the Committees of State Level Pre-Subroto cum Junior Football Tournament was held on May 28 in the conference hall of Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports under the chairmanship of Megolhu Dolie, Additional Director, YRS Nagaland.
The Pre-Subroto Mukerjee cum Junior Football Tournament will be organized for the first time jointly by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports and Nagaland Football Association (NFA) from June 4 to 12 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. So far, all the 16 districts have confirmed their participation for Boys U-15.
However, Girls U-17 team participation is yet to ascertain by District. Except few, almost all the districts are expected to set up teams for Girls U-17.
The State Level Pre-Subroto cum junior Football Tournament will conduct in consonance with the lay down terms and conditions set by Subroto Mukerjee Cup organizers and thereby they will depute an observer to oversee the tournament matches proceedings.
The winners of the State Level State Pre-Subroto cum Junior Football Tournament will represent Nagaland state at the Subroto Mukerjee Cup scheduled from July 30 to September 11 in Delhi.
Before the commencement of the State Level Pre-Subroto cum Junior Football Tournament, all the players will mandatorily undergo skeletal test to determine their actual age test lest they are not disqualified during Subroto Mukerjee Cup.
The match fixtures were drawn for boys U-15 in the presence of NFA president and All India Football Federation (AIFF) executive member K. Neibou Sekhose and Kutu Sekhose, Head of Referee (HOR) NFA. This was stated by Nagaland’s youth resources & sports director Kethosituo Sekhose.
