Kohima, October 25 (MExN): RTI Week, 2017, which is being organized by Nagaland Information Commission (NIC), will be celebrated at Administrative Training Institute, Kohima on October 27.
NIC Secretary, Worhonthung Ezung will deliver the welcome address at the inaugural programme scheduled to begin at 10:00 am. State Information Commissioner, Nagaland Information Commission, Er. Chanbemo Lotha will give the introductory remark, while Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Pankaj Kumar, IAS, will deliver a short speech.
The closing programme will begin at 3:30 pm. Secretary Worhonthung Ezung will chair the programme and also deliver the introductory remark. Two participants will present feedback of the programme, while Under Secretary, Nagaland Information Commission, Dr. N. Renthungo Jungio will pronounce the concluding remark.
Registration of participants will begin at 9:30 am. The programme will have four sessions with NIC Secretary, Worhonthung speaking on the topic ‘A decade of RTI- Review of the past and an outlook for the future’ in the first session. The topic ‘RTI in an Information Age’ will be taken up in the second session by Commissioner and Secretary, Department of IT&C and Power, K.D. Vizo. Deputy Director (Training), Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu in the third session will dwell on ‘RTI for Good Governance’. In the fourth and last session, RTI activists will share their experiences.
