
KOHIMA, APRIL 22 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has declared a state of mourning following the passing of Pope Francis, Supreme Pontiff of the Holy See, on April 21. As a mark of respect to the late dignitary and in alignment with the rest of the country, state mourning will be observed across Nagaland on April 22 and April 23.
Additionally, there will be one day of state mourning on the day of the funeral, the date of which will be announced separately. During the state mourning period, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings where the flag is regularly displayed throughout Nagaland. There will be no official entertainment during this time.
