DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): The St Thomas Mission Society (STMS) Dimapur, in collaboration with MGM College, MGM School & MGOS Church distributed food kits with essential items to convid-19 lockdown affected families of Dimapur.
Representatives from Khiamnok village received food kits from MGOS Church.
Mission Society Secretary, Fr Dr PS Varghese and Rev Fr Gemcy Eappen led the distribution along with Church managing committee members and women volunteers of the church.
The Secretary expressed gratitude to all the well wishers for sponsoring the essential items for distribution, especially to KC Varghese for sponsoring food items to Khiamnok and nearby areas.
He also expressed special thanks to Manish Aggarwal and Vinay Panday for logistic supports.
Teachers’ day gift also distributed to MGM teachers along with Food for Security kits.
This is the 16th phase of mission society's 'Food for Security' Covid-19 relief program. Further he stated that; in this phase society could reach out to 115 beneficiaries, including staff fraternity of MGM institutions, needy student families and to the beneficiaries of Khiamnok village. A total of 1,140 food kits were distributed to the needy from March to till date.
The society, in a press release stated that it intends to continue the philanthropic work in the coming weeks and solicited the cooperation of all well wishers.
