Stolen computers from Zunheboto Government College recovered

Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The Zunheboto Government College deeply appreciates the officers and constables of Zunheboto Police Station for recovering three stolen computers belonging to the college and bringing the culprits to book.
A press note issued by Dr Chubatola Aier, principal, ZCG stated that the Zunheboto Government College students, staff and faculty were shocked when three, out of the seven computers issued by the government meant for students and college use were stolen in June 2010 from the college. The college duly filed an FIR in Zunheboto Police Thanna. After nearly nine months of painstaking investigation led by OC Zunheboto Police Thana and his subordinate constables, the three computers have been recovered and the culprits arrested last week. It may be noted here that the state government issued the computers to the colleges in order to make the colleges and its students more acquainted with IT based technologies; however the theft of the three computers from the college strongly hurt the sentiments of the college authorities since the theft educational institutions can be nothing short of hampering the very foundation of the students’ career.
In this regard, the ZGC acknowledges the strong support and concern from the district administration and the public with regard to this matter. The ZBC also deeply appreciates the efficiency and dedication of the Officer-in-Charge and constables of Zunheboto Police Thana who left no stones unturned in recovering the stolen items.  The Zunheboto Government College hopes and looks forward to the same cooperation, support and efficiency in the days to come also.
