Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Corporation has once again directed the butchers to immediately stop the ‘odd practices’ of selling meat/meat products (Beef/Pork) in the open or road side and relocate to proper places.
The sellers were further directed to obtain trade licenses and follow the strict guidelines of the Veterinary Public Health Cell, DMC.
Despite repeated notification, many butchers are still in practice of selling meat or meat products in the open/road side which is illegal and unhygienic for human consumption, stated a notification from DMC Administrator Albert Ezung.
The DMC also requested the concerned colony authorities to look into this matter in their respective jurisdiction and take necessary course of action against the defaulters.
