Kohima, August 6 (MExN): A sudden gust of storm unleashed havoc in the power system across Nagaland state on Thursday afternoon. Considerable areas, colonies and districts are without power supply due to the snapping of EHV tower lines and distribution lines in many locations across the state.

Giving an update on the condition, Chief Engineer (D&R) Moa Aier in a press release stated that “the Department of Power, Nagaland (DoPN) officers and field staff are working around the clock under challenging circumstances, to restore the power supply to your homes and workplaces.” The Chief Engineer has requested consumers and the public to bear with the Department during such crisis and also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
