Mokokchung, October 21 (MExN): The Straightway School, Mokokchung celebrated the annual parent’s day on October 21 with S. Arenla Longkumer, Principal, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung as the chief guest.
In her speech, she compared the home to a full department where all the departments of discipline, beauty, law and above all love forms the basic ingredients to bring them as social assets. She stated that parents should take full responsibility to rear the God-given children instead of relying on others or handing them over to computers, televisions and tutors. “Today’s parents do care about clothing their children with their physical needs but she stressed that it is time for parents to clothe their children spiritually as they are God’s inheritance to us,” she added.
A press release stated that the programme was chaired by Deepika, Assistant Teacher and welcome address was delivered by Dr. Awala Temshi, Administrator. Speech on behalf of the parents was delivered by Visheli. H. The programme witnessed presentations from Montessori and Kindergarten to talent exhibitions from ten different clubs of the school.
