Mon, January 21 (MExN): Street play to spread awareness on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) was organised by the district administration in the street of Mon Town on January 21 at Mon Town where Konyak Baptist Church, Mon Youth department presented a skit.
Some of the highlights of the show included equal opportunity and rights to both the girls and the boys; if educating a girl child its benefit the family as well as the society; today’s girl child will grow up tobe a mother one day; When a girl child is educated it helps in brining tremendous change in the society; if we fail to educate the girl child, we will end up creating a generation of illiteracy.
Together, let us all join our hearts together in giving equal opportunity and equal rights to ‘the girl child’ to impart the right to education, they added.
The street play was shown at private station and new site of Mon town.
