Medziphema, February 14 (MExN): A ‘National Integration Tour’ for students of School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Medziphema was flagged off on February 14 at Medziphema. The tour is being organised by 41 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspectorate General Assam Rifles (North). A press release from Assam Rifles informed that a total of 13 students, two teachers and administrative staff will visit Delhi, Agra and Jaipur during the tour. The students/youth will visit places of historical and national importance and will also get an opportunity to meet Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India and Jitender Singh, Minister of Development of North East Region. “The tour will provide an exposure to the students about the rich cultural heritage and diversity of our nation and give an opportunity to witness the development in modern India and broaden their horizons,” the release added.
