Students undertake tree plantation drive in Chetheba

Chetheba, July 30 (MExN): With the objective to create awareness and protect environment, Chetheba Town Students’ Union (CTSU) undertook tree plantation drive at the town vicinity on July 30. 

More than 50 saplings such as peach, gooseberry, lemon, papaya and pine were planted in five different institution compound at Chokri Baptist School, Government High School, Government Middle School, St Andrew High School Thenyizumi and Government Polytechnic, Tsunazho. 

The union president Senetsolu Nyekha in a press release said due to the ongoing pandemic lockdown, the Union couldn’t organise any activity for the past months however with the relaxation, the union decided to have a tree plantation drive.

She said the plantation drive was conducted to show concern for the environment and also help diminish the unfavourable effects of climate changes. The plantation drive was attended by union executives, students and well wishers.

Meanwhile, the Union added that the executive members will be available to assist the students and parent who are seeking admission for further studies.  The students are requested to get in touch with the Union for any assistance.
