Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): Expressing concern over the recent and sudden rise of violence in Dimapur district, Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF) has appealed to concerned authorities to book the culprits and deliver justice at the earliest.
In a press release issued by its Media Cell on Tuesday, the Forum stated that it was dismayed to see the sudden rise of incidences of physical harm to traders that has erupted again after many years of peace in the district.
Urging the authorities to give all out efforts to ensure that such incidents do not happen again, the DDCF condemned all such incidents, mainly the two incidents that happened in Dimapur on September 10, 2022. In the first incident, an explosive device was hurled at the residence of a local businessman in Thilixu village, and a non-Naga businessman was shot at and injured by an unknown miscreant at his shop at United Colony, Dimapur, in another incident.
“DDCF believes that all these are coward actions and by all these uncivilized acts, the peace of our city and the law and order will be disrupted (Sic),” the Forum stated while appealing to the authorities to deliver justice at the earliest.
DDCF prays for speedy recovery of the injured and for peace to all the traumatized victims because of these incidents, the release stated.
