DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 27 (MExN): Food Corporation of India, Regional Office Dimapur has informed that sufficient stocks are available in central pool to meet the requirement of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other schemes of the Government of India for the state of Nagaland.
As of October 26, 2023, approximately 41013 MT of rice is available in the central pool which is well above the buffer norms/operational requirement, a press release issued by the FCI Regional Office stated on Friday.
Summing up the stock position/allocation/lifting by the state government, the FCI said allocation for October 2023 inclusive of all schemes is 12799 MT, offtake/lifted by the state is 7572 MT, balance stock to be lifted by the state is 5227 MT and the stock position with FCI is 41013 MT.
