Tuensang, May 24 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tsaru Block, Tuensang inaugurated and opened a Sugarcane Farm School by Dr. T. Arenmongla, Block Technology Manager, Tsaru Block at Kiding Village on May 22 where Yangtsechum was appointed as farm teacher.
During the programme, training and demonstration on various topics were also conducted. Resource person Khatemenla Longchar, ATM gave training on Package of Practices of Sugarcane. She also gave a demonstration on the topic ‘Package of Practices of Pineapple.’ Tiyongnaro, ATM gave a demonstration on pig cum fish Integrated farming, pig housing and application of agri lime. Imlinukshi, ATM gave a demonstration on ‘Package of Practices of Ginger’ where he explained the land preparation, its sowing time, manuring as well as pest and disease management.
Later, Sudong Food Security Group was mobilized from Kiding village. Agri Lime was also distributed to the farmers and Seed money to the newly formed FSG.
Altogether 25 farmers attended the programme which was a grant success.
