Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): Founded by Late Suhoi along with Phushiho, Nikishe and Nizheto in 1968, Suhoi Village celebrated golden jubilee on December 18, 2018 under the theme ‘God with us.’
A press release issued by Tokato K. Yeptho, PA to Executive Secretary, WSBAK stated that Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, Executive Secretary WSBAK was the main speaker during the occasion.
Rev. Achumi also unveiled and dedicated the jubilee stone marking God’s faithful guidance of the people. Jacob Zhimomi, Minister of PHE GoN inaugurated the jubilee memorial building which houses the church office and the jubilee museum.
The museum was conceptualized by Ghokuto Zhimo, a culturist with all the traditional knowledge captured in his mind. He was cooperated by other villagers, church staff and other members of the Planning Board. There are about 67 items collected from different sources and was opened for the public on the occasion.
“The Museum Management Committee will be glad to help and guide if anyone is interested to make a research on the same in the coming days,” the release added. Some of the few museum items include crow and animal scaring instruments, bamboo items, indigenous kitchen and household items, ornaments, crafts etc.
