Assisi Centre for Integrated Development and National Domestic Workers Movement Nagaland region organised a summer camp for children involved in the Child Rights Movement.

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): The Assisi Centre for Integrated Development (ACID) and the National Domestic Workers Movement (NDWM) Nagaland region organised a summer camp for children involved in the Child Rights Movement (CRM). The event held in collaboration with the ‘Art for All’ free community workshop initiative, witnessed the participation of 210 children.
Under the leadership of Rahul Alam along with 16 dedicated volunteers from various parts of Nagaland, the camp offered a wide array of artistic activities including drawing, painting, calligraphy, clay modelling, and sculpture. These activities provided the children with an opportunity to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience in different art forms, stated a press release received here.
Sr Pramila, Director and Coordinator of NDWM addressed the children, emphasising the importance of acquiring diverse skills and experiences. She highlighted how such initiatives not only foster creativity but also build confidence and a sense of achievement among the children. Additionally, Sr Pramila enlightened the children on the critical topic of gender equality, discussing the importance of equal opportunities and respect for all, regardless of gender.
Sr Jobina, Coordinator for CRM motivated the children by discussing the significance of these skills in their personal development and future opportunities. She encouraged them to understand and appreciate the importance of continuous learning and growth.
