Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church, D Block celebrated World Sunday School Day with the rest of the world on November 7 at the church premises.
Pastor Rev N Silubo Zeliang emphasized on the topic of why Sunday school is important for the children, a press release from the church’s Media Cell informed. In his short speech, Rev Zeliang said that the importance of Sunday school is to teach children about loving one another with truth amongst brothers and sisters. He also said that Sunday school, also called Christian education, is a place for children to grow in the knowledge of God. Rev Zeliang also encouraged responsible parents to nurture their children as a gift and heritage of God and to play the important role of parents.
On the occasion, three children from the church’s Sunday School Department accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour and were baptized by Rev N Silubo Zeliang. Women Department of KLBC presented gifts to all the children on the occasion.
